Rebuilt and elevated to remove dangerous level crossings, Carrum Station had essential building services along the new overpass.
CMG Frames engineered and manufactured a series of modular lightweight steel framing units designed to run the full length, concealing the services while appearing architecturally aligned with the infrastructure.
We engineered each module to support façade cladding systems and incorporate complex shapes across the long linear installation.
Streamlined and lightweight
A major infrastructure project with the need to minimize public disruption, speed and efficiency were essential. By utilising prefabricated lightweight steel modules, installation was streamlined and coordinated with other infrastructure works on the project.
The result is an integrated architectural solution that conceals services, supports façade finishes and contributes to the distinctive identity of the Carrum Station precinct.
